What exactly that fan-satisfying storyline entails is, of course, still shrouded in secrecy at this point. Indeed, Obi-Wan Kenobi remains such a mystery that there isn’t even a proper trailer and a poster showing McGregor’s Kenobi has only just been released – still keeping Kenobi himself at bay, preserving the mystique of the show. What is known is that Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, opening up the possibility for an epic lightsaber duel between Kenobi and his old student.
Seeing Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin/Vader fighting on screen again would be very satisfying indeed Star Wars fans. But there’s just as much of the fan base that might just hate the idea of Obi-Wan Kenobi going back to that source after so many years of lightsaber duels.
