Thankfully, it doesn’t look like it will take too much prep before they’re ready to get back into the action. Some playstyles may need some rethinking, but it seems the changes should be for the better in the end.

In Cyberpunk 2077, there are many advantages that players can use to make V a better fighter. Some increase load-carrying capacity, while others make V move faster and hit harder. Benefits are an important part of how players interact with the world and its challenges in Cyberpunk 2077, especially given its focus on customization and letting players approach situations based on their fighting or hacking preferences. It gives players the option to recreate their player, but it can be a bit tricky for those who were perfectly happy with their characters the way they were.

Some of the changes in Cyberpunk 2077s perk systems are larger than others, and some are purely cosmetic. Some of these details, such as: Cyberpunk 2077s easy to miss hidden missions, are easy to pass without noticing, so players should read the benefits carefully. Some perks have been renamed, replaced with newer ones, or moved to other trees. For example, the Stealth tree is now called “Ninjutsu” and has been redesigned, with additions and changes to escape perks players weren’t really using. Stuff like that shouldn’t affect the gameplay too much, even if it might require a bit of chasing players to find their favorites.


Some advantages in Cyberpunk 2077 have been redesigned rather than replaced or relocated. The list consists of the Bloodswell, Human Shield, Epimorphosis, Cold Blood, Coldest Blood, and Cutthroat perks, meaning players who have their character centered around them may need to make a few adjustments. Bonuses are also made dynamically for the 200% Efficiency, Field Technician and Cutting Edge benefits. The perks now apply to weapons and clothing that have already been created, and respecting the perks removes the bonus.

Perhaps the biggest way the new perk system will change existing characters is that all perks have been reset, meaning Cyberpunk 2077 players get a second chance to spend all their extra points again. There are no penalties or requirements to reassign the extra points, so players can essentially completely redesign their character if they want to. However, if they liked it the way it was, and especially if it took a lot of work to get it that way, they might want to go through their benefits and write them down before updating. Cyberpunk 2077 has many improvements in its 1.5 update, but this one can be a bit frustrating – if only temporarily – for existing players.
