Per Deadline, we are all dead reached #1 on Netflix’s weekly streaming charts in just 7 days, just a few months later Squid Game rose to the top in 4 days. Worldwide, the series has been watched 124.69 million hours this week, compared to the #1 English-language series Ozark, which has accumulated 96.34 million hours. This is still not enough to get it on the all-time charts, but if it hits 106 million more hours of viewing in the next 3 weeks, it will surpass the series that is currently at the #10 position, the Spanish telenovela The Queen of the Stream season 2.
Netflix has been creating content for international audiences for years, including hit series such as the Spanish crime drama money robbery and the Swedish teen show Young Royals. However, that content is mostly sunk in its own territory and is successful in non-domestic streaming markets like the new Bollywood movie Walk Lapeta, which started streaming yesterday but hasn’t made a splash on the US side of the service.
