According to Deadline, Red Crown Productions is working on a film about Corey Rae, an activist and model who became the world’s first openly trans prom queen in 2010. The production company acquired Queen, Harry Tarre’s screenplay adaptation of Rae’s essay How I Became the World’s First Transgender Prom Queen.

Where is Corey Rae from?
Corey is a transgender activist, entertainer, model, public speaker, and writer who helps break social stigmas surrounding transgender women. Although born in California, she lived in New Jersey and New York for 17 years, and embarked on a one-way trip back home to LA in early 2017.
