New photos from HBO’s adaptation of The Time Traveler’s Wife show Theo James and Rose Leslie in an embrace, as well as new characters in the series.
New photos from the HBO series adaptation of the wife of the time traveler emerge with the two protagonists, played by Theo James and Rose Leslie, in love. The story from Audrey Niffenegger’s novel was previously edited in 2009 with Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana. The announcement of the new adaptation coming to HBO came all the way back in 2018 with former doctor who showrunner, Steven Moffat, who is writing the adaptation. In February 2021, it was revealed that James, from Divergent fame, and Leslie, seen in Game of Throneswould star as the time traveler and his titular wife.
utilities, TVLine has released new photos of the adaptation showing James and Leslie hugging, as well as some photos of other actors in the upcoming series. Desmin Borges and Natasha Lopez can be seen in these new photos as friends of the two romantic protagonists. The images show the couple embracing, but also the two alone in the same setting, showing the central predicament of the story: having a partner who is there one minute and gone the next. These photos help to capture the love and visual vibe for the series and help audiences see what to look forward to when the series airs. If these images have anything to say for the series, it’s clear that the Sanditon alum and Leslie will show a beautiful relationship that ignites in the first season. Hopefully this should allay the criticism leveled at the film adaptation of the wife of the time traveler as they have not given the couple time to engage in their romance before being tragically taken away from each other. There is still no official release set for the series, but it will be released in 2022.
