Faith Dickinson is the founder of Cuddles for Cancer, an organization that provides fleece blankets to cancer patients and others in need of cuddles throughout the world. Born and raised in Lakefield, Ontario, Dickinson was nine when she made a fleece blanket for her aunt, who was being treated for breast cancer.

Lakefield’s Faith Dickinson founded ‘Cuddles for Cancer’ when she was just 9 years old. The concept originated from hearing that cancer patients get cold during treatment, and so Dickinson decided to begin making fleece blankets to give them warmth, comfort, and love.

The young teen said her parents had spoken to her about Diana’s humanitarian work well before Faith was announced as a recipient. She was so compassionate and kind and to be named as her legacy, it’s such an an honour, said Faith, a Grade 9 student at Thomas A.Stewart Secondary School.
