How to unlock the main character’s geographic skills

Genshin Impact’s main character can use all seven Treyvats elements, and this guide will teach players how to unlock their Geo abilities.

At the beginning of Genshin impact, players gain Anemo or wind skills that they can use in combat. Players can also unlock Geo skills that can be used for combat and travel. After some recent updates, Genshin impact players can now use all seven elements. These include Pyro (fire), Geo (earth), Dendro (nature), Cryo (ice), Electro (lightning), Anemo (wind), and Hydro (water). Many Genshin Impact characters can use these abilities, but in the case of the Traveler, the main character can only use Anemo, Electro, or Geo.

When building a team Genshin impactplayers must use the most optimal combination of elemental skills in Genshin impact† The synergy between these skills can give players additional bonuses, improvements and advantages in battle. In addition, players can combine two or more elemental states by switching between characters and attacking enemies with combos. When using these combos, Elemental Reactions damage is also scaled when the character’s Elemental Mastery is increased by using certain weapons and artifacts.

Genshin impactThe main character is not from the world of Treyvat, so it is much easier for them to harness the elemental abilities of the world than for other inhabitants. The main character is practically gifted Anemo skills after interacting with an Anemo Statue of the Seven. Paimon notes how easy it was for the character to acquire those abilities, stating that they usually only assign themselves to people who are special. However, the main character also has the unique ability to harness the power of more than one element at a time. Here’s how to unlock the main character’s Geo skills in Genshin impact

How to unlock traveler’s geographic abilities in Genshin Impact?

To obtain the Traveler’s Geo abilities, the player must visit a Geo Statue of the Seven. When interacting with the statue, the player automatically unlocks the ability to switch between Geo and Anemo skills. To switch from Geo to Anemo, the player must visit one of that element’s Statues of the Seven and ask to switch to that element. The closest Geo statue of the seven is marked on the map above. They are all located in the continent of Liyue and there are several other statues to visit, but only the first one grants new abilities.

The player gains a new Geo elemental ability and burst. The elemental ability summons a Geo crystal from the ground that deals damage to enemies hit with it. The player can also climb and walk on the crystals, making them useful for traversing large bodies of water or other forms of terrain. The eruption of the main character’s Geo element creates a shock wave that emanates from wherever the player is standing, dealing damage to enemies and pushing them backwards. While the main character’s Anemo skills in Genshin impact are arguably better, the Geo skills can come in handy from time to time.
