‘Enchanted’ Sequel: Patrick Dempsey Gives Update on ‘Disenchanted’ and a New Filming Date in 2021.

Enchanted star Patrick Dempsey revealed some updates about the sequel Disenchanted, including the project might begin filming. The actor said in an interview, “I just got this script for the second movie, and then I am starting to go through and get notes together” Dempsey said. He also said, “There is a talk that we will start shooting that in the spring” While a spring shoot date seems a bit optimistic at the moment considering COVID 19 infections and daily deaths. The sequel was set to begin production as soon as possible is likely welcome news for fans of the 2007 original.

Enhanced pulled stereotypical Disney Princess Giselle out of her storybook which is animated into the real-world in New York City where she is going to meet a divorce lawyer Robert and his daughter Morgan. at the same time, Giselle’s betrothed Prince Edward follows her to the real world in order to rescue her from the evil queen Narissa and her conniving henchman Nathaniel in hot pursuit to make sure Giselle never comes back. It is a fun synopsis of Disney’s animated films punctuated by hilarious performances from Adams and Marsden in particular. The sequel was disclosed in December 2020 with Adams’s role as Giselle. Disenchanted will stream on Disney+ at an unknown date.
