As of February 2017, Kelly is a certified flight instructor and is the owner of Green Mountain Skydiving in Bennington, Vermont. As of May 2018 Kelly is also the owner and tandem skydive instructor of Berkshire Skydiving in North Adams, Massachusetts.

At his re-trial in May of 1997, Alex Kelly was convicted of the first rape. He later pleaded no contest to the second rape charge. He was sentenced to sixteen years in prison. He was released on parole in 2007 after serving ten years.
