Mark Wahlberg, a singer turned actor, has made quite a prominent name for himself in the Hollywood film industry.
Mark’s fabulous acting has made a lot of his movies evergreen. His first role outside of playing himself came in 1999 as Private Tommy Lee Haywood in “Renaissance Man”. Since then, Wahlberg has been noticing the rise in the number of his fans.
From Transformers to Daddy’s Home, Mark has starred in some top-ranking blockbusters. His latest movie, “Father Stu“, is another superhit of 2022.
Listed below are some of the most popular Mark Wahlberg movies that you would not want to miss:
- The Italian Job (2003)
“The Italian Job” is one of those remake films that become more popular than the original version. The film, directed by F. Gary Gray (2003), focuses significantly more on the character’s development than the original 1969 film.
Wahlberg shared the screen in this heist film filled with superstars, including Charlize Theron, Seth Green, Jason Statham, and Mos Def. The heartfelt moments Mark shares with Theron when they mourn the loss of their former team leader (Donald Sutherland) were the emotional touches the film needed amidst the nonstop action.
- The Departed (2006)
Flashback, “The Departed“, wasn’t quite the cliche everyone claimed at the time. Although the movie is long, the film lights up whenever Wahlberg shows up. He doesn’t show up often – and, except for his final appearance, nothing he does is of much consequence.
The movie was a critical and commercial success and won various accolades, including four Oscars at the 79th Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Film Editing. The film also received six nominations at the 64th Golden Globe Awards and two at the 13th Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The movie focuses on the activities of the Sun Gym gang, a team of former convicts and bodybuilders sentenced for kidnapping, extortion, torture, and murder in Miami in the mid-1990s.
The film’s title is a play on a common phrase often used in fitness: “No pain, no gain”. Released in 2013, the movie received generally mixed reviews, praised for its script but criticized for the violence, directing, and historical inaccuracies.
- Daddy’s Home (2015)
Directed by Sean Anders, “Daddy’s Home” is a 2015 American comedy film directed. The film majorly focuses on a mild-mannered stepfather (Will Ferrell). He fights for the attention of his wife’s (Linda Cardellini) children when their biological father (Mark Wahlberg) returns.
This is the second collaboration between Ferrell and Wahlberg after the film “The Other Guys”. Soon after the release, the film became Ferrell’s highest-grossing live-action film. The movie also got some critics for lacking funny ideas and not fully exploring the premise. A sequel, “Daddy’s Home 2″, was released in 2017.
- Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
“Transformers: The Last Knight” is a 2017 American science-fiction action film. This is a sequel to Age of Extinction (2014), directed by Michael Bay. The Last Knight is a thrilling apocalyptic adventure.
A fatal threat from Earth’s history reappears, and a hunt for a lost artifact occurs between Autobots and Decepticons.

The story continues to discover the famous treasure of the Magellan expedition.
