The Marvel Cinematic Universe declared some important updates on Thursday regarding a huge number of new upcoming movies and TV shows on Disney’s Investor Day presentation. Among these were some major updates such as the Guardians Of Galaxy franchise where it is informed that the third film in the franchise is going to released in 2023. Marvel also announced a Guardians of the Galaxy-themed Christmas special will be filmed simultaneously with the third Volume and if that was not sufficient, Marvel also makes an announcement of a new extension of the franchise which is a series of animated shorts titled ‘I Am Groot’ which will follow the misadventures of Baby Groot. Baby Groot, the rambunctious little tree from Guardians of the Galaxy fame is coming to Disney+ in a series of shorts.

It is not confirmed about the release date for the premiere of Groot’s new Disney+ series yet. It is also unknown who will voice the sapling, but he’s had a variety of actors supply his voice across major motion pictures, television, and theme parks. Kevin Michael Richardson voiced Groot in the Ultimate Spider-Man series and again he voiced in the Avengers Assemble animated series and in Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. as well as in the 2015 animated series Guardians of the Galaxy. Another voice of actor Brian Drummond handled the duties of Groot in Marvel Superhero Adventures- Iron Man who is an American-Canadian animated series based on the Marvel character.
