NFL superstar Colin Kaepernick and the winner of Emmy Ava DuVernay together going to launch a new project, charting the origins of the story of Kaepernick in a limited series. Activist Colin Kaepernick is fully prepared to narrate his story. The biopic ‘Colin in Black & White’, will show a story about the adolescence of a man who was dying to become an NFL player and an important activist who fought against police brutality. He was on the global headlines when he began to kneel down during the national anthem at sports games as a form of protest. The project is already been anticipated where DuVernay has been behind the most essential projects of Netflix in these recent years which include documentary 13th and the miniseries such as When They See Us. It was announced and confirmed in October 2020 that the role of adolescent Colin Kaepernick will be played by versatile star Jaden Michael. This is also an important announcement from Netflix that Colin Kaepernick himself will narrate the whole series.

When is Colin in Black & White will released on Netflix?
It has not decided finally when this series will going to arrive on Netflix. It hasn’t started its production which would relatively take a long period of time especially nowadays as the whole world is suffering from global pandemic COVID-19. Bearing in mind that the discontinuation and disruption of the film and production industry will not lead fast. However, this series will consist of six episodes which were written by Duvernay, Kaepernick, and Emmy Award Nominee Michael Starbury, and the script of this series was already finished in May.
