Ros is a type of wine made from red wine grapes, produced in a similar manner to red wine, but with reduced time fermenting with grape skins. This reduced skin contact gives ros a pink hue and lighter flavor than that of red wine.

Great flavor, not too sweet.

8.4oz From the makers of White Girl Rose comes Babe, a canned, bubbly rose perfect for picnicking, pool-lounging, camping, concert-going, and more. It’s a blend of Pinot Grigio and Primitivo varietals with hints of honeydew – and with about 160 calories per 8.4oz serving, a guilt free indulgence.

So, how do hard seltzers compare to sparkling wine?

It’s that gorgeous salmon color, the color ros should be. It’s delicious, really bright and high-toned with a lot of red fruit: tart red cherry, green strawberry, and soft green herbs. It’s quite crunchy on the palate, which I really appreciate, and the finish is super lush and juicy.

A product from the makers of White Girl Ros, Babe is perhaps the canned ros that’s been most widely distributed of the group we tried. Alas, it was also hands-down one of the least favorite in the group. There was an unpleasant citric aftertaste that the light carbonation didn’t help mask.

Babe Red is a blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon & Zinfandel. Full bodied & lusciously rich red w/ an invigorating fizzy finish. Prominent notes of dark fruit & hints of raisin & fig.

It’s sweet, but not too sweet/dry it’s definitely more of a brut-style ros.
