So far, only seven hip hop records have reached the Diamond status that signifies 10 million certified album units sold in the US. Such artists as Jay Z, Kanye West, Drake, and Dr. Dre, while having many other accolades imaginable, are yet to reach this milestone in their careers.

West’s Stronger has now achieved the feat, 14 years after it was released as part of the hip-hop heavyweight’s third album Graduation. The track is now only one of 63 songs to have reached Diamond status in the digital era.

Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass has finally gone diamond a decade after its release. On Tuesday (November 9), the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded Nicki a diamond plaque for her 2011 smash hit, certifying at least 10 million sales of the song in the U.S.
